Formally verifying agent-written full-stack web apps with PDD Kit
As AI coding agents generate increasingly massive pull requests that outpace human review, making formal verification accessible to regular developers offers a scalable way to guarantee code correctness and prevent subtle bugs.

What happened
Microsoft Research has introduced PDD Kit, a toolkit that translates developer intent into formal specifications in Verus to mathematically verify code generated by AI agents. The system combines formal proofs for core logic with automated testing for external dependencies, allowing engineers to verify large volumes of agent-written code without exhaustive line-by-line review.
