Faster Retrieval for Better, More Efficient RAG
Improving the speed and efficiency of vector retrieval directly reduces latency and compute costs for large-scale RAG applications.

What happened
Apple ML Research published a post on accelerating maximum inner product search (MIPS) for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and recommendation systems. The work addresses the rising computational costs of searching through millions of high-dimensional candidate key vectors to find the best match for a query.
