What happened
Denise Herzing of the Wild Dolphin Project is collaborating with Georgia Tech and Google DeepMind to use AI to analyze decades of audio and video recordings of Atlantic spotted dolphins. While AI is helping researchers identify acoustic patterns and experiment with basic two-way communication, fully understanding and translating dolphin communication remains a distant goal.
