What happened
Squarespace is laying off approximately 19% of its global workforce, or around 300 employees, as part of an organizational restructuring. The cuts come as generative AI and prompt-based website builders like Lovable and Google's Stitch transform the web hosting industry, prompting Squarespace to develop its own AI tools such as Blueprint and Forma.
