Airbnb announced that it will launch a custom AI travel agent in the first half of 2027. CEO Brian Chesky explained that instead of functioning like a standard text-heavy chatbot, the agent will use generative UI to assemble maps, photos, and comparisons in real time while also handling post-booking tasks like reservation changes and refunds.
